Painting: I learned that acrylic paint is easily blendable, resulting in a wide range of colors possible. On the negative side, paint is extremely hard to control, and acrylic dries so fast it's hard to correct mistakes unless you want to paint over it completely. Something I would like to improve on is my control over the paint and how it blends to create shadows, highlight, and dimension. Drawing:
I learned that it’s better to do a graphite sketch over the base coat of paint, as it will not show through. I also learned that graphite will smear when painting over with a brush. Something I would like to improve on is planning out my sketch clearly so I know exactly what I’m doing and I’ll make less mistakes.
